democratic processes in South America are crossed by different narratives rote exercise that combines the protest of the past often illusory in an effort to think about the future. This seminar aims to discuss the tension between the political use of the past and imagine the future possibilities for regional. From this perspective there is the realization of debates with personalities that pose the problem and multiply the discussion. There will be four panels representing public life in order to interpret the strictly political dimension, the presence of civil society, media and intellectual experience. This is one of the most relevant topics to assist in thinking about the future democracy and the extension of the idea of \u200b\u200bcitizenship in South America.

The role that civil society organizations have the time to describe reality and setting the agendas of problems. Many of these associations are, at least in Argentina, a direct relationship to the historical memory since they were born to deal with the problems of our recent history and thus become important parts of a new way of looking at democracy.

Democracy needs freedom of information and media are central pieces of this size and also among the first critical lines of our social life. With the addition of new media, the situation becomes more complex in the deployment of a plurality as healthy as chaotic.
